Pearl Street Dental Group is Hiring a Hygienist Near Lewisville, TX
We are looking to add a full time Dental Hygienist to our Pearl Street Dental family.
Someone passionate about what they do, wanting to work together with the Doctor & team to treat patients and promote good oral health practices. Our ideal candidate will love patients of all ages, have deep knowledge of relevant health & safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases & anomalies. We are aware as a hygienist you have a great deal of opportunities available to you. A minimum of two years of dental hygienist is preferred, however NEW GRADS WELCOME TO APPLY, we would love to teach you! Open Dental experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
- Take X-rays or dental impressions
- Maintain documentation and records on each patient
- Monitor supplies
SKILLS -
- Prefer experience as Dental Hygienist, at least 2 years / willing to train new grads
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Valid TX hygienist license
